Restored lodge set in twelve acres of wooded parkland in the estate of an 18th century château. The well maintained grounds contain an extensive lake suitable for swimming and wind surfing and deep in the woods there is a 16th century wolf pit. The gîte has its own exclusive 7x7 newly refurbished fenced swimming pool together with a summer shelter and stone BBQ. The château is surrounded by a moat and has a consecrated chapel which guests are welcome to visit.
The château is located within very easy reach of the nature reserve the Marais Poitevin and is just to the north-west of Fontenay-Le-Comte and only 25 miles from the sandy beaches of the Vendée coast.

Guests will need to bring sheets and pillow cases and towels and tea towels. Blankets and pillows are provided. The owner will require a fully refundable security deposit of £150.00 on arrival. End of stay cleaning can be arranged for 65 Euros. All utility charges are included in the rental.
PLEASE REMEMBER that in France cleaning the property at the end of the holiday is considered to be the responsibility of the holidaymaker. Please ensure that you leave the cottage clean and tidy at the end of your stay. Failure to do so will mean that a charge for cleaning will be deducted from your security deposit.
